Ilkeston Theatre Company

Hello, and welcome to Ilkeston Theatre Company. I am Jenni (Chairman of the Company) and would like to tell you a little bit about us.

We were founded in 1988 mainly to perform musicals and have gone from strength to strength over the years. We now put on variety shows and concerts (some in support of our chosen charity – Treetops Hospice), shows such as 'Allo 'Allo and “Are You Being Served” and, in more recent years, have moved into Pantoland. Oh yes we have!!

Our members come from all walks of life and are all ages from 16 to 60+, and their main attribute is enthusiasm. We all share a common goal – we just want to perform in whatever way we can, whether It is on stage or behind the scenes, and give the public a show to enjoy. A lot of hard work and dedication is involved, but to hear an audience laugh or get the applause makes it all worthwhile.

We are like an extended family and very sociable with it – with camping weekends and very lively social events such as Oscar Nights and Halloween parties (all in fancy dress of course).

So have a look round our site and, if you like what you see, then please contact us or better still come along to one of our rehearsals on a Wednesday evening – 8 pm at the United Reformed Church on Wharncliffe Road. We are always looking for people to join us and offer a very warm welcome.
